St. Anthony High School students Max Gillenwater and Sophia Emmerich were selected for ILMEA All-State, where they represented St. Anthony at the Peoria Civic Center.
Max earned his ticket to All-State after winning second place for his composition, The Dance of Light and Shadow, in the Senior Keyboard Solo category. He spent three days perfecting his craft and showcasing his work.
Sophia was chosen for All-State Band on the oboe and capped off the weekend with a spectacular concert performance.
