The St. Anthony Boys Tennis team, under the guidance of Coach Darlene Esker, embraced a “building” season in 2024. With only 5 returning athletes and 11 newcomers, the squad steadily gelled into a formidable unit over the course of the year.
The 16-member roster featured seniors Evan Mossman, Collin Westendorf, Charlie Wegman, and Teddy Dietzen, along with a talented core of underclassmen. The Bulldogs compiled an impressive 10-6 match record, highlighted by tournament runner-up finishes at Triad and Robinson Doubles, plus a 4th place showing at the Sacred Heart Griffin Invite.
The star doubles pairing of Manaye Mossman and Evan Mossman dominated with 23 wins against just 2 losses on the season. Manaye also excelled in singles play, going 14-1. At the always-competitive Sectional tournament, Collin Westendorf and Joey Trupiano represented St. Anthony in singles, while the duos for the Bulldogs consisted of Mossman/Mossman and Connor Eggars/Jackson Schultz.
