The Cyberdogs, coached by Phil Zaccari, had another solid e-sports season. In the PlayVs regional league, both MarioKart teams made the playoffs, with Mario1 reaching the Elite 8. The SmashBros 1 team also made the playoffs. Andrew Brandenburger reached the final 4 in Madden, while Devin Grubb made the Elite 8. The Rocket League team reached the Elite 8, and Luke Anderson was the NBA2K League Runner Up.
At the IHSA Sectionals, the Rocket League team (James Emmerich, Elijah Poston, Connor Frauli) were Sectional Champions and reached the third round at the State Finals. Luke Anderson placed 3rd in EA Sports FC. Andrew Brandenburger was the Sectional Champion in EA Sports FC and reached the third round at the State Finals.
This was a strong performance for the team’s second year. The team bids farewell to seniors James Emmerich, Luke Anderson, Andrew Brandenburger, Carrey Goeckner, Zack Hurren, and Nicholas Poston.
