The Lady Bulldogs finished the 2025-26 season with a 19-11 record, showing tremendous growth and resilience from start to finish. The team was tested throughout the year, with 9 of their 11 losses coming against teams that went on to play in a regional championship, sectional championship, or super-sectional game. That tough competition helped shape the Lady Bulldogs into a stronger team as the season progressed.
Nancy Ruholl capped off her remarkable career with 2,473 points, finishing as the all-time leading scorer in St. Anthony history for both girls and boys basketball. She earned 1st Team All-NTC honors and was selected to the Pana, Coles County, and NTC All-Tournament Teams. Addie Lauritzen also had an outstanding season, earning 2nd Team All-NTC honors and a spot on the NTC All-Tournament Team, while Jackie Vonderheide was named to the Pana Thanksgiving Tournament Team.
The team was led by seniors Nancy Ruholl and Lilly Gannaway, whose leadership, toughness, and commitment set the tone for the program. Both players showed their teammates what it means to compete with heart and represent St. Anthony with pride. Their impact on the Lady Bulldogs program will be lasting, and they will be greatly missed.
