Congratulations to St. Anthony junior Isabella Keller on being named the 2025–26 Gatorade Illinois Girls Cross Country Player of the Year. One of the most prestigious honors in high school athletics, the award recognizes excellence in athletics, academics, and community involvement.
Keller, who also received the honor in 2023–24, earned First Team All-American honors this past season with a fourth-place finish at Nike Cross Nationals. Her time of 17:02.0 was the highest finish and fastest performance ever by an Illinois girl at the event. She also won the Nike XC Town Twilight Invitational in 16:53.0, the fastest 5K time in Illinois this season.
In addition to her success on the course, Keller has maintained a weighted 4.00 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society and the Society for Academic Achievement, and serves as a lector at Sacred Heart Church and St. Anthony Parish. Isabella’s dedication and excellence continue to make St. Anthony proud.
