The St. Anthony soccer team improved a lot from last year, doubling the previous year’s win total in finishing 6-10 overall.
The team wrapped up their season by earning a Regional victory over ALAH, to advance to the Semi-Finals where they ultimately fell to Teutopolis.
Benefiting from many returning players, the team improved in goals scored from 16 to 29 (+13), and in goals allowed 64 to 58 (-6).
Harrison Miller led the team in scoring with 13 goals, including 2 hat tricks. Goalie Calvin Sudkamp had the best season of his soccer career, providing us with great opportunities late in the season.
Thank you to our seniors, Evan Meyer, Calvin Sudkamp, Will Fearday, Elijah Poston, Harrison Miller, Maddox Wiedman, and Sean Silva, for leaving your mark as team leaders and bringing glory to God throughout the season. Our hope is that their example and hard work will inspire a new generation of young men and women to continue to improve our soccer program.
