Students Raise Over $1,200 for Local Animal Shelters

On October 4th, the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, the St. Anthony High School Spanish Club held a bake sale to honor his devotion to all of God’s creation. The fundraiser raised an impressive $1,247 for two local animal shelters: Effingham County Animal Shelter & Control and the Effingham Humane Society.

The Spanish Club thanks all students and families who donated items, money, and goods to make the bake sale a success. Their generosity directly supports the care of animals in need within the community.
