The volleyball team had a very successful season this year as they finished the regular season with a record of 27-7.
The team placed first overall in the NTC and finished second in the NTC Tournament, with Abbi Hatton and Maddie Kibler earning NTC first team honors, and Andrea Rudolphi and Addi Nuxoll earning second team honors. Abbi Hatton was also named to the All-Tournament Team at the Olney Invitational and Andrea Rudolphi was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Mahomet Tournament.
In post-season play, the Bulldogs started their historic run besting higher-ranking teams in the regionals, sectionals and the super-sectional for their first ever trip to the State Finals!
At the State semifinals, the girls played a tough Galena team who managed to pull away after two, hard-fought 25-18 sets. (Galena went on to win the Class 1A Title.). For the third place match-up, the Bulldogs faced Cissna Park, the team that ended the Windsor Stew-Straws season. In a tough back and forth battle, St. Anthony would come out on top, after a five point rally tied up the third set and set up the Bulldogs for their first State volleyball finish in the school’s history! Andrea Rudolphi was named Player of the Game. Congratulations!
