The St. Anthony High School Girls Track & Field team capped off an outstanding 2025 season with one of the most dominant showings in program history.
The Lady Bulldogs broke three school records, competed in four indoor meets, and finished either first or second in all eleven outdoor meets—five of which were large multi-team invitationals. The team claimed its fifth consecutive NTC Conference title and went on to win the IHSA Newton Sectional, marking the program’s first Sectional championship in at least 25 years.
Eight athletes qualified for the IHSA State Championship Meet in twelve events, and three underclassmen—Isabella Keller, Aubrey Denning, and Reese Hoene—advanced to the finals in six events. Together, they brought home seven state medals and 43 team points, placing fourth overall in the state. Sophomore Isabella Keller repeated as state champion in the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:20.92.
Freshman Reese Hoene shattered three school records in the long jump (18’4.5”), 200-meter dash (25.82), and 400-meter dash (57.26).
The team says farewell to senior Mary Scheidemantel, who has played a key role in the team’s success over the past four years. She will be deeply missed by her coaches and teammates.
With all eight state qualifiers returning and a strong group of contributors and incoming freshmen on the horizon, the future is bright for the Lady Bulldogs Track & Field program.
